How we keep your data private, secure and backed up

We understand how important the privacy and security of our customers data is. To this end, we personally NEVER hold credit card or banking information for any of our customers.

Any confidential information you submit to us during an order is immediately and automatically destroyed once that order has either completed or failed.

In regards to personal data, such as names and addresses, we've put a variety of measures in place to protect this data from accident or attack.  

 

Privacy

We will never give, rent or sell access to your data to anyone else, nor will we make use of it ourselves for any purpose other than to provide you this email service.

 

Software security

Your information is protected by software at several different levels. There are constantly tested and updated firewall and operating system software programs in place on all our servers that restrict access to authorised users.

Our databases are further protected by access restrictions, and key information (including your password) is encrypted when stored. SSL (HTTPS) is used throughout the application, including of course to transmit personal information.

Sensitive and confidential information, such as your credit card details are not stored on our system at all, being secured instead by our trusted payment provider and immediately destroyed once processed.

Our security is regularly and thoroughly tested by external software security experts who make recommendations for new methods we could use to increase the security around your data. After each review our team examines and implements any required changes.  

 

Physical security

In our web hosts data centre are several layers of protection around the servers we use.

• Level 1: A proximity card and PIN is required just to enter the building
• Level 2: Proximity card access and fingerprint scan is required to enter the data center
• Level 3: Locked cages and cabinets secure all the hardware
• Level 4: Video surveillance cameras are monitored constantly
• Level 5: Vibration detection devices detect any motion

 

Backup facilities

Your data is constantly mirrored to a redundant backup server, meaning in the event of any significant failure we can instantly switch to this live backup without any data loss.

All the servers we use to provide and store information have redundant backups so even if a disk suddenly dies, no data will be lost. Additionally all your data is backed up to an off-site location every night so that in the event of a system-wide disaster, we can perform a full backup recovery.
